1. Do I need to be a certified Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) before applying?​​​​
​Nope! We are an ACE accredited 40 Hour Registered Behavior Technician training provider. We'll provide you the training you need at the onset of employment.

2. I am already an RBT. Will I still get trained?
As a person-centered and trauma-informed ABA provider, we do things differently than most companies. All new team members will go through a two-week training to become familiar with ACT, person-centered and trauma-informed practices, and company culture and expectations.

3. What does training look like as a new employee?
The first week of training begins with your onboarding orientation and pre-training modules. The rest of the week you will work remote or at our center, completing our online training through Google Classroom. The second week of training will be conducted in-person alongside our RBT Trainers and their clients.

4. What will my responsibilities be?
Some responsibilities include building a therapeutic relationship with client and families, individualized engagement with clients conducting solely behavior analytic programming, contriving naturalistic learning opportunities, collecting data and completing necessary documentation while adhering to the RBT Ethics Code.

5. Will I work in the clients home, at a center, or both?
Both! Depending on the client teams you are trained on, you may work in both environments.

6. How long are client sessions?
Client sessions range from 1.5 hours to 6 hours depending on the client's clinically recommended hours per day.

7. What data collection software do you use and will I get a tablet?
Hi Rasmus and yes, you will get a tablet and charger while you are employed with us.

8. What is the pay rate?
As a candidate with no prior experience or a behavior technician without a certification, you will start at $21/hour. After your 90-day review, you will get a raise to $22/hour. Once you obtain your RBT certification, you'll get another raise to $23/hour. If you join our team as a certified RBT, your pay rate starts at $23/hour.
9. How often do I get paid and when?
You will get paid weekly every Friday by Direct Deposit.

10. Do I get weekends and holidays off?
You sure do! Our company is closed on the weekends and for major holidays.
11. Do you pay for drive time and mileage?
We do! We pay $20/hour for travel between clients and $1.00 per mile.

12. Do you have medical or health benefits?
We offer health insurance to employees working 30 or more hours per week. To become eligible for our health insurance, the employee must first average 30 hours for 3 consecutive weeks.

13. What is your sick policy?
Employees may return to work after 24 hours without fever, vomiting, uncontrolled diarrhea, and/or other contagious symptoms.

14. What is your call-out policy?
An unexcused call-out is any time off requested with less than 12 hours advance notice.

15. Can you guarantee hours?
Unfortunately no. We cannot ensure a client will not call out or cancel after the schedule has been finalized. However, our scheduling manager will do their best in provide any additional hours or training to balance the loss in hours.

16. I want 40 hours per week. Will I get that?
We believe 35 hours per week is the perfect work week. This helps ensure we are doing what we can to prevent employee burnout, increase retention from not over working, and providing our employees time for self-care.

17. Will I be a part-time or full-time employee?
Our scheduling manager does their best in providing a schedule that is preferred by the employee. However, most times than not a new employee will start as part-time and work their way up if preferring a more full-time schedule.

18. How often do I get my schedule?
You get your schedule weekly.

19. Do you provide ongoing training?
We provide ongoing training for ACT, client programming, crisis intervention management, CPR/AED, and continuing education units for students, RBTs, and BCBA supervisees.

20. What qualifications do you look for in a candidate?
To name a few, we look for candidates that are able to multitask in a multi-element environment, work autonomously, critically think through stressful events, take initiative to communicate with supervisors, and are motivated to learn and apply feedback.

21. What does the company do to build teamwork and morale?
We hold RBT Small Groups two times a month from 3:30-5:30 on Fridays. This is a space without supervisors intended to build open communication, client specific training and peer interaction through team building activities. The company also puts on events for employees. Some examples include Self-care Day, BBQ and games, and team hikes. All team members also have the ability to show recognition through our Slack channels.
